For more than two decades, Nick Zinner, guitarist of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Iggy Pop, has photographed the beds in which he slept while touring. Abandoned rooms, fleeting traces and everyday details become quiet portraits of absence.
Situated between documentary photography and intimate memory, Slept in Beds continues a photographic tradition that finds meaning in the ordinary and the ephemeral. Zinner transforms transient spaces into poetic reflections on time, identity and impermanence. His photographs preserve moments that would otherwise disappear unnoticed, giving visibility to what is inherently fleeting.
