Aside from a stay in New York City in 1997 he has been living and working ever since in Berlin.<br \/>\nAbundant arrangements of flowers, shiny plastic wraps, snippets of images from glossy magazines and remains of informations from billboards \u2013 these are some of the sensual, sometimes sinister and morbid components in the paintings of Grigori Dor. With a very own approach by applying a neo-baroque form language as well as a painterly differentiation of textures he links to the tradition of still lives.<br \/>\nThe paintings of the solo exhibition \u201eThe Archeology of Dreams and Desires\u201c show compositions of objets trouv\u00e9s and flowers as colourful still lives.
